On October 3–4, 2026, we bring together 16 wineries and 48 wines, alongside a special gastronomic experience created by Chef Nico Lontras, one of the initiators of the project that led to the establishment of this national day.
Two days where wine, gastronomy, and the people behind them come together to tell the story of Romanian taste.

For Chef Nico Lontras, the National Day of Romanian Gastronomy and Wine is more than just an event on the calendar.
Chef Nico Lontras is one of the three initiators behind the project that led to the establishment of the National Day of Romanian Gastronomy and Wine, contributing to the creation of a day dedicated to celebrating Romania’s gastronomic and winemaking heritage.
At Casa Timiș, this story continues through a gastronomic experience specially created for the event.
Inspired by Romanian gastronomy, the dishes will highlight familiar ingredients and flavours, reinterpreted in a contemporary way and designed to complement the selection of wines presented throughout the event.

A selection of wineries from several of Romania’s wine regions comes together at Casa Timiș for two days of tastings and discovery.
Each winery will have its own tasting area and present 3 representative wines, giving you the opportunity to explore different grape varieties, styles, and terroirs, while meeting the people behind the wines.

Gastronomic Experience
At the heart of the event, gastronomy becomes part of the setting. A long table dedicated to dishes created by Chef Nico Lontras will bring together small bites, creatively presented alongside elements inspired by nature and the season. It is neither a traditionally served menu nor simply an accompaniment to the wine tasting.
It is a gastronomic experience in its own right, created especially for the National Day of Romanian Gastronomy and Wine, which every guest can discover at their own pace.
