At the foothills of the Dealu Mare wine region, in the heart of Casa Timiș Resort, we celebrate each year, on the first Sunday of October, Romania’s National Gastronomy & Wine Day—an event dedicated to honoring the country’s culinary identity and wine culture.
Now in its fifth edition, this gala pays tribute to culinary and oenological excellence in an elegant setting where tradition blends seamlessly with refinement. Each edition is defined by a unique theme, revealed on the evening of the gala by Executive Chef Nico Lontras. Previous themes such as Emotion, Home, History, and Gratitude have reflected important chapters in the Casa Timiș story.
This year’s theme, kept secret until the very moment, will be unveiled on October 6, 2024, when Chef Nico Lontras will present a refined menu featuring five original dishes inspired by the new concept. The event will welcome distinguished figures from the world of gastronomy and wine, while the master of ceremonies will be none other than Virgil Mănescu, an educator in etiquette and social diplomacy. Guests will enjoy internationally awarded wines from the Casa Timiș collection, in an atmosphere that transforms Romanian traditions into a symphony of flavors and aromas, elevated by the authentic hospitality offered at Casa Timiș.
The dress code is Black Tie or Traditional Romanian Attire, adding an extra touch of elegance and authenticity to the event.
