Casa Timiș is located in Prahova county, Chițorani village, Bucov commune, at the start of the old and picturesque Wine Road, used in antiquity by Roman merchants and ever since. Breathtaking views, medieval monasteries and boyar mansions urge you to stop and relax. The road is guarded by the slopes of the hills, where endless hectares of vines, 70 of which belonging to the Casa Timiș Estate, stretch in the sun to the horizon.
The area enjoys the same geographical and climatic conditions as the regions of Bordeaux and Tuscany. Here, the grapes benefit from the sun, on average, 14 days more annually than other regions. The fruit has more time to ripen and flavor.
The vineyard, which surpasses itself every year to give fragrant grapes from which special wines are created, stretches on 40 hectares in Ceptura and 70 ha in Chițorani – Bucov. Cabernet Sauvignon, Fetească Neagră, Fetească Regală, Tămâioasă Românească, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Ottonel, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Merlot are grown in it. These varieties give us white, red and rosé Casa Timiş wines.
Casa Timiş wines are stored in the famous Sinaia located “Izvor” tunnel, owned by the Timiș family, where the energy of the mountain, the constant temperature and the controlled humidity create exceptional conditions for their preservation and aging.
At Casa Timiş, wine is the link between human relationships. It is more than alcohol; it is a living being, full of sensitivity and character, with which we can communicate. A reflection, an inner feeling, the expression of a road that begins in the vineyard and is guided by nature and people. It contains stories about the uniqueness of the terroir, the rain and the sun and the perfume of the centuries, intertwined with modern methods of processing grapes.
Casa Timiș wine assortments are the perfect partners for culinary creations that capture the desire and capacity of the Romanian people to enjoy life.
